HOLY Success Story!!! These results are absolutely JAW DROPPING!!!
And would you believe this all started with a women’s empowerment group with a bunch of strangers?!!?

She joined in, she asked what to do, I told her…
She shows up every single day…
She didn’t take any magic pill, she simply worked out, managed her nutrition, joined in a group with me…

(And she will be the first to tell you that she still enjoys her treats.. 🌮🍕)

And now this momma is PROOF that you CAN do this too.

This stranger who joined my group, trusted what I said and now we have hung out, she is my friend and she inspires me EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!❤️

I got the opportunity to ask her some questions and get some insight on her results!!

  1. What have your results been so far?

I began the program with my first challenge group on March 1, 2019. Since that time I lost 20 pounds, gained abs, toned arms, strong legs, and a healthy lifestyle.
  2. What has been your biggest struggle?

I love food, especially wine and French fries, so keeping on track with nutrition has definitely been a struggle.
  3. How did you overcome that struggle?

I can’t say I have overcome that struggle because it is an ongoing process. Every day I have to make the decision to eat right but what makes it achievable is that I have accepted I don’t have to be perfect with my nutrition. It is still ok to each French fries and drink wine but it has to be in moderation.

My husband has been a huge help in this area because he cooks most of the dinners and does the grocery shopping. He understood this was important to me so he asked for the recipes and has been making sure to make healthy recipes that are portioned appropriately. What has been really great is that there are so many recipes available through Beachbody that we have expanded our list of favorite recipes so I don’t foresee us getting bored of meals anytime soon.
  4. What did you do to get to your goals?

The first month I went all in 100%. I truly did not have any cheat days or even meals and I worked out 7 days a week. One of these days was an active recover day which I have come to really embrace and realize how important it is for your body to reach your goals. I knew I needed to take this first month as a clean eating cleanse so we purged our house of most of the bad food (we do have two young boys so we couldn’t get rid of everything ). I also cut out alcohol completely for this month. This allowed me to reset my body, drop a lot of the weight that I was holding just due to my poor diet, and feel so much healthier. Once that first month ended, I allowed for a few cheat meals the next month but tried to still be pretty committed to only clean eating. I still had another 5-10 pounds to lose and I wanted to drop those pounds before the pools opened. At the end of those two months I was proud of my achievements and felt so good in my skin that I allowed myself to live a more 80/20 lifestyle with food.

Staying involved in the accountability groups on Facebook really helped me to stay committed and on track. I loved checking in and sharing my achievements, especially my NSVs (non-scale victories) including fitting into a pair of jeans that hadn’t fit since before I had kids, wearing shorts and feeling confident for the first time since college, and actually having defined abs for the first time ever! if you had told me 5 years ago I would have defined abs after two kids I would not have believed you.
  5. What is your favorite personal development book and why? (or book in general)

Girl, Wash Your Face by Rachel Harris is a great book. I actually listened to on my phone driving back and forth to work, because unfortunately I don’t have a lot of free time to read, and this was a great way to still get all the benefits from the book. Rachel Hollis is the narrator and her passion was so evident in how she spoke that she made you want to be a better, stronger, more confident person.
  6. What is your goal right now?

I just got back from a week long European vacation so I am working on losing the 6 pounds I gained from all the delicious food, including my all-time favorite dessert, sticky toffee pudding that I had three nights in a row in Ireland. I don’t regret the food decision at all because I know with my accountability group and the schedule I have created I will lose the weight in no time and have the memories to last a lifetime.
  7. What is your advice for someone who is just starting out?

Surround yourself with like-minded people who will build you up and keep you accountable. I have always been a morning person so for me waking up early and working out on a zoom call with other women at 5:30am has been my consistent rock that has kept me going. There are mornings that if it was just me waking up and going to my basement to work out, I would have chosen my bed, but knowing the other women are there counting on me to also be there for them gives me the accountability to wake up and push play.
  8. What is your favorite Disney movie and why?

This is the hardest question! There are so many so I think I will go with Aladdin because I just watched the newly released movie and remembered how much I loved the songs and story.
  9. What made you want to join in?

I had recently finished breastfeeding my second child and my husband and I are not planning to have any other kids. I had dropped most of the baby weight but still wasn’t happy with my body. Everything was just soft and as a lifelong athlete I knew I just wasn’t healthy. My first group was actually a competition to see who could lose the most weight in a one month period. While I didn’t win the competition, I felt like a winner because it launched me into this wonderful lifestyle where I can be healthy and confident in myself which makes me a better wife and mom.

It started with a strangers in a group to friends meeting up!
Love her story and all she has accomplished!!!

As you read this and you see her results and you think “could I actually do this?”

The answer is 100% YES! You CAN.
But it won’t happen until you COMMIT and do this for you!!

Year 16 and we are putting the whole “for richer Year 16 and we are putting the whole “for richer or poorer, in sickness and health” to the test. 😳

Between hospital bills and almost 2 weeks in the hospital - we have reached the sicker and poorer side of our marriage 🫤

But we have also stayed madly in love throughout every adventure and moment… and this won’t be any different. 🥰

To the guy I married when I was 20 years old and everyone said it was crazy….

You are the best part of my life 💕

Here’s to another 16…. 🥂
More health & more richer 😉😆

HE IS HOME!!! 🙌🏼🥰💕🎉 My favorite pe HE IS HOME!!! 🙌🏼🥰💕🎉

My favorite person in the entire world is home after a long 12 days in the hospital!!!!!!

12 days is the LONGEST we have ever not snuggled together….
The LONGEST the kids haven’t had daddy home…

For 10 of those days, we didn’t have a full conversation.. which is also the longest time we have gone without talking 😪

He still has pancreatitis and will need gallbladder surgery in the near future….
But for now, he can heal at home with his family! 💕

We are so grateful for all of the love, prayers, visits, meals, kid pickups and every bit of incredible support.

For most of the time he was gone, I cried every morning and every night before and after I was with him.
I am so very grateful for every person that offered any help because it meant soooo much and mentally I needed it!!!

We are soooooooooooo grateful as a family for ALL OF YOU!! 💕

Every person who helped and prayed and supported us was absolutely apart if his healing.

We are snuggling him extra now and taking every bit of time we have with him!!!

This is not the Mothers Day I would have picked… This is not the Mothers Day I would have picked…

But I would pick these kids, this family and this moment of pride for my boy over and over again.

Just being together matters.

Just raising good humans matters.

If my Mothers Day gift this year was this reminder that my kids are growing into great people.. that’s enough 💕

I don’t know if it’s a sign… But I do know t I don’t know if it’s a sign…
But I do know there is power in prayer…
I do know there aren’t any coincidences…
I do know that these doves weren’t not just flying by and found a place to land…
They had to come from up above and swoop down into this courtyard.

Tonight will officially mark the most amount of ni Tonight will officially mark the most amount of nights we haven’t slept together in 17 years… 😢

The hardest part of today was him being out of it so much and sleeping that he was talking in his sleep to the kids. 😪

The second hardest was feeding him and seeing him be the most weak he has ever been.

The third hardest was leaving him…

I walk away and leave it to God and the nurses to take care of him while I’m gone.

And go home and put a smile on my face when I’m home with the kids…

And pray that when I come back, he has GRANDPA JOE’d himself out of this bed and I can take him home 🥰
Our favorite person in the house went to the ER wi Our favorite person in the house went to the ER with chest pains (holy scare) —
And it turned out to be the gallbladder. 😬

After alot of scans and tests, it looks like our guy is going to spend some days in the hospital and set to have surgery soon. 😢

My husband is the ROCK of this whole family.
Everyone else (including me) are just mini hurricanes in this life and he is the rock that stays still and holds us all together.

For a second, I thought I would just stay silent on here. If it wasn’t fitness, podcasts or inspiration, maybe I’ll just keep quiet.

But - I have opened up alot about my life…
And I don’t want you to follow me or my family and think everything is rainbows and butterflies.

I don’t want people who go through illness or hard times to think they are alone in that. I want to continue to show you that there are hard times, scary times and not every day is a party… but we move forward.

We draw strength from eachother as a family, we draw strength from the friends that have been placed in our lives and we draw strength from God.

I will continue to be open about our family in hopes to inspire you, to be here for you if YOU need someone and to show you that we’re all human and all have struggles.

We are patiently waiting for surgery…
we were all set to go yesterday but his pancreas levels were bad so they canceled it.

Today, we are waiting for blood work to give us the all clear for surgery and hope his pain goes away.

The kids have never seen daddy like this so it’s hard watching them cry everytime they think of him or see him, while trying to hold it in at the same time. 😪

Last night, the kids and I prayed..
We prayed for daddy’s pain, we prayed for the surgeons hands, for the nurses who are taking care of him, for the doctors, and for our friends who have been so thoughtful.

Thank you everyone for your continued prayers, love and support! 💕

He then gave her back the dog treat and said to give it to the dog.

Would love to blow up his kindness 💕
