I love transformation stories. I love it when people don’t give up on themselves and they make the decision to be better. This beauty right here is one of my favorite transformation stories. I remember when she first sent me a message that she wanted to join in my fitness group. We knew eachother from high school days and I was so nervous to have her in a group. I really looked up to this girl and I wanted her to get great results and love what I was doing.
She jumped in on FIRE. She did everything I said to do. She followed along, she stayed consistent and she IMMEDIATELY got results. Every time she hit a goal, she would message me and I would SQUEAL in excitement.
Amanda is one of the busiest people I know. She literally does ALL of the things. She is a cross country coach, she is a mom of three super busy kids, she is a full time teacher, Young Life counselor, a health and fitness coach, and a super awesome friend. She wanted it more than she didn’t. So she DID IT!
BUT, she didn’t just get results for herself. She helped her husband, she helped friends, family, strangers… she is a true inspiration!!
I was able to interview Amanda about her journey….
1. What have your results been so far?
I have lost 46 pounds and kept it off for about 8 months.
2. What has been your biggest struggle?
My biggest struggle is making sure I get my workouts in during my busy season…
3. How did you overcome that struggle?
I just make sure my nutrition is 100% and give myself grace.
4. What did you do to get to your goals?
21 day fix, Shift Shop, a hybrid version of workouts and running, and 2B mindset
5. What is your favorite personal development book and why?
Girl Wash Your Face. It’s inspiring and makes you want to be the best version of yourself
6. What is your goal right now?
To lose a total of 50 pounds, and never have to go back to buying Lane Bryant again.
7. What is your advice for someone who is just starting out?
TRACK and check in every day. Move more.
8. What is your favorite Disney movie and why?
Mulan, I love the songs, plus I love the story that women can be as strong as a boy.
9. What made you want to be a coach?
I wanted to be a coach for the discount first, but also for the extra accountability. I love spreading my excitement of fitness to other people and inspire them to become better versions of themselves.
10. How has coaching changed you?
It had made me more confident. Challenges me to be a better person, and makes me think about what I eat (and drink) in front of everyone. I know I have to practice what I preach.
Amanda is proof that you CAN get to your goals, no matter how busy you are, no matter how far off track you may have gotten, you can ALWAYS get back to your goal!
